SAFE CARE® cleaning products, specifically SC-1000 which is listed with the USEPA National Oil & Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP), cleans by reducing the surface tension of the oil at the substrate surface, weakening the polar attraction of oil to the surface which then allows it to be rinsed from the surface and captured. Bench testing was conducted with contaminated “mud” samples to demonstrate release. We used our non-evaporative solvent called SC-EZ-Solv to soften the tar-like petroleum in the soil.  Then, we introduced our nonionic surfactant called  SC-1000 Aqueous Cleaner at a 5% solution which caused the petroleum and solvent to immediately release and separate from the soil so that it could be captured at the top of the water column.

SAFE CARE® and SAFE LUBE products are used very successfully in all areas of the transportation industry.

SAFE CARE® products may be used for drive-thru wash racks for buses, trucks, rail cars, and automobiles and interior maintenance for hard surfaces and textiles. Whether its commercial or military vessels, SAFE CARE® products may be used for cleaning fuel tanks, bilges, refrigerator containers, cargo holds, galleys and passenger compartments. SAFE CARE® products effectively degrease carbon soot from fuel exhaust areas to engine blocks; from runway / concrete cleaning to heavy-duty equipment maintenance. Unlike most caustic cleaners, SAFE CARE® products do not contain reagents that oxidize finishes, causing rust and degrading elastic materials such as rubber or vinyl, but actually improves the life of hoses, seals, gaskets, paint finishes and other hard surfaces. Commercially grown fruits and vegetables generally contain harmful residues of pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, food waxes and other organic soils.

Many of the contaminant soils found on fruits and vegetables contain petroleum distillates such as paraffin or mineral oil. Other toxic chemicals include terpenes, glycol ethers and reagents such as sodium hydroxide or ammonia compounds. These contaminants are often derived from pest control and residual products from operating and/or cleaning agricultural equipment. SAFE CARE® cleaning products and SAFE LUBE industrial lubricants may improve or eliminate soil contamination, therefore improving the overall safety and quality of the agricultural product. SAFE CARE® cleaning products are USDA compliant and may be used in the process waters of post harvest, fresh cut and processed fruits and vegetables. SAFE CARE® products may be used in all major processing steps including multi-stage flumes, chill tanks, coolers, washing equipment and food processing systems. SAFE LUBE products may be used with agricultural equipment where hydraulics are used, gear oil for conveyor belts, and general purpose lubricants for food processors. Recent testing has proven that when orchard fruit such as apples or citrus are cleaned with SC-1000 Aqueous Cleaner that the shelf-line is actually extended with less fruit loss to rot.
